Ajmer, Rajasthan: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Saturday offered a chadar (sheet) at the tomb of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti at the renowned Ajmer Dargah on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to the media, Rijiju remarked, “Having brought the chadar from the Prime Minister, those who claim differently about the Dargah have their answer now.”
Rijiju’s Statement Seen as Support for RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat
Rijiju’s statement is being viewed as a tacit endorsement of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent remarks. Bhagwat had stated that creating daily disputes over the temple-mosque controversy is inappropriate and that such actions will not help anyone become the leader of Hindus.
No Scope for Dispute at Ajmer Dargah, Says Kiren Rijiju
Rijiju also emphasized that there is no room for controversy at the Ajmer Dargah. He further explained, “Since the Dargah Committee, which manages the internal affairs of the Dargah, is under my ministry, our focus is on ensuring that pilgrims visiting the Dargah for ziarat (religious visit) receive all necessary facilities.”
